Not really, but it feels like it. So much is going on right now, and I forget to post on this blog. In the time since I premiered my Spooky Special on Halloween, spooky season has given way to the holidays, complete with all the lights, decorations, and YouTube commercials (and that's not even mentioning Mariah Carey's yearly defrosting to once again tell us what she wants for Christmas). I've been busy on several things, including composing/editing works for competitions, new standalone works, and transcriptions of existing music, just to name a few. Of course, school hasn't been helpful either, with tomorrow marking the first day of the gauntlet that is the end-of-semester slog. But hey, Christmas break is just around the corner. I'm also working on a potential holiday special, but that may end up being scrapped due to lack of time.
What I know for certain is that I have some good listening recommendations for today. Now that it's the holiday season, I can throw in things such as Leroy Anderson's timeless classic "Sleigh Ride." On the softer side of things, nothing complements a lazy Christmas evening quite like Vince Guaraldi's classic "Christmas Time is Here" from the legendary Charlie Brown Christmas special.
That's all for today. Stay tuned for the next post, coming December 11 if all goes to plan!
