Hello, all, and welcome not only to my blog, but to a new year! 2023 has officially begun, and with it comes projects and compositions galore. One of my longest running and most labor-intensive projects ever will soon be complete, and while I likely cannot share the finished product due to copyright, it will free up time for public projects, not to mention the omnipresent shadow of school returning this week. Of the projects I'm working on now, some include a mythology-inspired action work, a series of short musical vignettes for varied instrumentation, and a mammoth anthology piece that I hope will knock your socks off. The attached picture is your only hint...
But for now, I shall restrain myself from spilling further information and move to the listening recommendations. If you're looking for some fantastic through-composed action, John Paesano's "The Final Chord" from Kamunrah Rises Again should please immensely. On the quieter side of things, the date dictates my recommendation of the timeless "Auld Lang Syne," here recorded for the 2015 film Krampus.
That's all for today. Stay tuned for the next post, coming January 8 if all goes to plan!
