Hello, everyone, and welcome back to the blog. If you're here from Instagram, welcome! I post updates, analyses and music recommendations on Sundays. My goal is once every week, but sometimes that doesn't happen :)
Firstly and most importantly, the third and final part of my Death Waits Dreaming series based on the mythos of H. P. Lovecraft will be released on Thursday the 23rd. It's by far the most exciting and aggressive of the three movements, and I look forward to sharing it with all of you. Once it is released, the entire Lovecraft suite will be put on the website's Music category.
After this is done, I will continue to work on the several projects I have in progress. Some of these are smaller, prettier pieces, and some are the usual over-the-top orchestral mayhem. In the meantime, I can offer some listening recommendations. If you're a fan of grandiose, dramatic orchestra, Alberto Iglesias' "Into the Water" from 2014's Exodus Gods and Kings will please. On the softer side of things, James Horner's "The Ludlows" from Legends of the Fall is an emotional masterwork.
That's all for today. Stay tuned for the next blog post, coming March 26 if all goes to plan!
