May 7 - Where I've Been, Updates and Celebrations

Hello, everyone, and welcome back to my blog. It's been a busy past month since I last posted here, and I apologize for not updating this page since late March. As the end of the school year looms large, I am left no choice but to devote some time to studying and preparing for the inevitable gauntlet of final exams that is just around the corner. I am also working on a commissioned project that I am as of yet unsure if I am able to share with you all. This is in addition to the endless stream of potential projects and demos that I toy with day after day. It's been a good while since I've released new music, and while I can't announce any upcoming projects with certainty, know that you'll get some new music from me eventually :)

As for today's musical recommendations, May 4th and 5th of 2023 were two notable days in a row, as with every year. May 4th is the unofficial Star Wars day, and I have so attached a link to recording session footage of master maestro John Williams, conducting the London Symphony Orchestra as they perform excerpts of the legendary "Duel of the Fates" for The Phantom Menace. May 5th (which is also my birthday) is Cinco de Mayo, a celebration of Mexican victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. To celebrate, a link has been attached to Mexican composer Anton Marquez's spirited piece Danzon No. 2, performed by the Simon Bolivar Youth Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and conducted by the charismatic Gustavo Dudamel. Also celebrating both, I have attached a funny meme I found on Reddit :)

That's about it for today. Stay tuned for the next blog post, coming May 14 if all goes to plan!
